HSE POLICY STATEMENT
THAWORLD GLOBAL SHALL CARRY HER DUTIES RESPONSIBLY AND SAFELY IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOVERNMENT AND INTERNATIONAL LAW IN ALL ITS AREAS OF WORK.
GENERAL POLICY
THAWORLD’s Procurement and Engineering activities will be planned and executed in such way as to:
Avoid injury and preserve the health and safety of its own employees, those of its Contractors and any member(s) of the public involved in its activities.
Minimize the impact on the environment in which THAWORLD operates.
Every THAWORLD employee must plan and perform his or her day’s work in accordance with HSE policy. An activity MUST be suspended when the employee believes that it cannot be carried out in accordance with the policy and he or she must report this immediately to the Supervisor.
This means that in THAWORLD GLOBAL RESOURCES LIMITED operations in engineering, construction and general contracts are carried out in such a way that condition(s) which predispose(s) accidents are prevented and, where it is not practicable to remove all hazards, employees who are exposed are protected adequately well.
Proper attention will be paid to Health, Safety, Security and Environmental conditions at the place of work and as far as practicable ensure its freedom from risks and diseases. Management will follow up and recognize practicable recommendations in pursuance of this Policy. Above all, all applicable regulations and statutory requirements imposed upon practitioners in the Engineering Construction industry shall be observed and complied with.
In laying down this policy which is centred on the preservation of human life and property, I have the firm belief that the co-operation of all is expected to assist in delivery of a safe project, carried out without bloodshed, loss of any employee or assets.
It should be of note that this HSE MS Manual is made out in reference to the Safety Requirements of the Nigerian Industrial Law and EROTON E&P in particular. It is thus applicable to all other client’s safety needs.
