This Safety Manual presents a clear and concise form of safety standards, which are necessary to achieve uniform safe working conditions and procedures in this company as introduced in the following paragraphs..
TGRL Policy is to:
Establish and maintain a healthy and safety workplace for all its employees and others on its premises and construction sites. Conduct its activities in a responsible manner to ensure the health and safety of people in the vicinity of its operations. Provide employment to host community and local government. Establish cordial relationship with host community.
Therefore we:
Develop, design, operate and maintain safe processes. Provide and maintain safe systems of work and emergency plans. Ensure employees are aware of their responsibilities, are involved and are properly trained. Collect, collate and disseminate information of experience.
To achieve this we have taken the following steps:
The appointment of a safety officer whose responsibilities it is to ensure safe working practices, carry out regular inspections in the workshop/site and report any unsafe condition noted and follow–up inspections to ensure that corrective actions are taken.
The introduction of a Safety Manual which describes in detail the dangers of our various production and site installation processes and the prevention of unsafe acts condition processes.
Safety incentive schemes and discipline:
An incentive scheme set-up to encourage and reward safe practices is operational in TGRL to give incentives for good Safety performance awareness and standards among workers. There rewards are in the form of certificates, monetary rewards &/or bonuses.
